Limited Assistance Representation

Pursuant to a Standing Order of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, attorneys are now able to provide representation to clients on a limited basis. This is called Limited Assistance Representation (LAR). This might be in the form of representation in connection with one hearing, preparing a motion or a discrete court pleading. So, whereas in the past, attorneys who filed a court appearance were required to stay in the case until the court allowed the attorney to withdraw, under this standing order, if the LAR requirements are followed, attorneys can file limited appearances. This means lower retainers and lower fees. Call Attorney Kaufman at 413-256-1575 to find out how he can help with Limited Assistance Representation.
